CSF = cerebrospinal fluid
SIH = spontaneous intracranial hypotension
ICP = intracranial pressure
IIH = idiopathic intracranial hypertension or idiopathic intracranial hypotension
RHP = rebound high pressure
SLEC = spinal longitudinal epidural collection

MRI = Magnetic Resonance Imaging
CTM = Computed Tomography Myelogram
DSM = Digital Subtraction Myelogram
PCCT = Photon Counting Computed Tomography

BLT = Bending, Lifting, Twisting
BP = Blood Patch or Blood Pressure
EBP = Epidural Blood Patch
LP = Lumbar Puncture
VF = Venous Fistula

Arachnoiditis = persistent inflammation of the arachnoid mater and subarachnoid space
Cranial = relating to the skull
Decubitus = lying on the side
Dorsal = back of the spine
Hypotension = low pressure
Hypertension = high pressure
Iatrogenic = induced unintentionally by a physician or surgeon or by medical treatment or diagnostic procedures.
Intracranial = within the skull
Myelogram = procedure of having contrast injected into the spinal canal
Orthostatic = to stand up
Prone = lying on the front
Spontaneous = Not planned – done in a natural, often sudden way
Venous Fistula = abnormal connection between the dura mater and a vein
Ventral = front of the spine
